At Syriously, we are more than just a restaurant; we are a story of resilience, passion, and the love for delicious Syrian cuisine. Founded by Mohamed Mousselli, born and raised in Syria. And so we use that knowledge to bring the vibrant flavors and cultural heritage of Syrian food to Haarlem. This is us, welcome to our Syriously good food.
How we started
Mohamed’s journey began when he arrived in a new land, eager to share his culinary heritage with others. Initially, he started working at the Wereld Keuken, where he tirelessly introduced people to the incredible tastes of Syrian cuisine. In Syria, Mohamed was a successful business owner. Therefore, when the opportunity arose to open his own restaurant, he seized it without hesitation.
Investing all his time and energy, Mohamed turned his dream into a reality. Together with his dedicated daughters, who lent their expertise in interior decorating and business management. They together created a welcoming space where everyone can experience the delights of Syrian gastronomy.
We take immense pride in every aspect of our restaurant. From the warm ambiance carefully crafted to the delectable dishes we serve, every detail has been considered. But it’s not just delicious dishes you’ll find here! Our very own Joudy, Mohamed’s daughter, has also mastered the art of making delicious Syrian sweets that are simply irresistible.
